Alamitos Bay Marina and Shoreline Marina are run by the City of Long Beach Marine Bureau, and the rules for in-water washing are about runoff. Biodegradable, phosphate-free soap only. Hoses are shut off when not in use; a hose left running on the dock is the fastest way to get a talking-to from the dockmaster. No sanding, grinding, or work below the waterline in the water.
Vendors working in the marina need a Marine Bureau permit and proof of insurance on file. Every vendor Pearl sends to a Long Beach marina has both, and we can send you the permit number.
Gate access is the practical problem. Most owners text us a gate code the morning of, or meet the vendor once. We delete codes the day of the job and never store them.
Parking at Shoreline and Rainbow Harbor is tight and metered, which is why those jobs are scheduled early. Alamitos Bay has vendor parking near most basins.
